Top of Yahoo this a.m. – Fidel says he would talk to Obama. Maybe, after all the mutterings, an end to the sanctions is near? Being born in 1969, I guess I’m a little “young” to understand (or care about) the bad blood between the U.S. and Cuba. The old timey Cuban posters make it look like a fun, cigar-smoking, drinkin’, partying Caribbean island. Nuff said.
I want to see Cuba - maybe more just because I’m not allowed. Only 90 miles off our U.S. coastline and we’re giving them the surly-teenager silent treatment. Forgive and forget. All the countries that kicked the snot out of each other in WWII are existing together. C’mon Cuba, let’s be friends. There’s a rum drink there with my name on it.
