After a little bit of thinkin’ and drinkin’, I’ve decided to change the course of this website from sailing and exploring the Tampa Bay area to sailing in all parts of the country (or even world). After all, why would somebody in Maine want to only read about Tampa Bay? Yes, according to web stats there’s a reader up in Maine somewhere (thanks Maine!). So from this point on this site is going to be dedicated to “Weekend Cruisers”, or those of us that work or have obligations, but still take a few days to “get out there”. We’re all not wealthy, retired or have the ability to set off on a world cruise. What we can do is take our precious two or three day weekends and turn them into memorable mini-adventures. This site is for sailors that work hard, play hard and want to share their experiences. Please visit the forums and let’s “kick the tires and light the fires”. Post your stories, pictures, hopes, dreams and questions. No sail is too small, no outing too short. I pledge to keep the updates on Tampa Bay coming, along with reports and stories from many other local cruising grounds.
