Grab your shield, atgeir and favorite horned helmet – we’re going cruising! This unique vessel was advertised in the July/August isse of WoodenBoat Magazine. It must have taken thousands of man(or women)-hours and a tanker load of varnish to complete this project. The entire boat is finished bright - inside and out, even the sinks. You can see more of it here: www.langskip.com The site was a little clunky so I pillaged a few pics and linked to them here.

OMG It needs to be in a museum somewhere. That’s awesome. A varnished wooden sink for goodness sakes, and the cockpit detail!!
I have an old wooden boat hobbiest living in the retirement comm I work in who passes his mthly issue of wooden boat to me knowing I’m a little warped about boats and such. The cover with the cat boat last month was incredible(but aren’t they all). There was a great story about George Lazier too. Great mag with unreal work. Fast becoming a lost art in our instant gratification society. I assume you’ve been to the cortez maritime muesum/wood workers shop by the Cortez bridge.
M&K
I would be afraid to walk on the boat in fear of scratching it.
I have not heard of the Cortez maritime muesum, but I’m going to check it out for sure – thanks! Look for upcoming posts on my wooden boat project.
